Luis Melville

UEFA Futsal B

In 2005, through a quirk of fate (they had no one else to do it), I helped to run a FA Futsal Cup regional qualifying league. One evening, a coach no-showed and I helped out and was hooked on futsal. Been fortunate to coach Vaughans Futsal Club to The FA Futsal Cup Final in 2007, losing 6-4. Also, coached at FA Futsal National League level with Vaughans and Brentford FC CST.
Previously, head coach at Brentford FC Futsal Club having been on The EFLT Futsal working group committee and an All-Star Coach for the South East region.

I also fulfil a role within The FA as a Futsal Tutor and Mentor plus am a Regional Talent Centre coach for the England Under 19 futsal programme.

Interesting fact: I used to present a 4-hour live football radio show and did 52 games in one season. That’s a lot of talking.
Signature skill: Working hard. That is a skill.

Proudest futsal moments: Getting to a FA Futsal Cup Final, achieving my UEFA Futsal B qualification and being involved in the England U19 futsal programme. With more to come with Go4Goal!
